The Syrian Observatory announces a new outcome of the dead and its mountains

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights stated on Sunday evening that “within 72 hours of the escalation of reprisals in the coast and its mountains, about 40 sectarian massacres were committed, in which 973 citizens were killed without deterrence.”

He added: “The Syrian coast and Latakia mountains witnessed painful events and sectarian and regional liquidations, in which hundreds of citizens, including women and children, were killed, as the security forces, the Ministry of Defense and the auxiliary forces committed war crimes and human rights crimes, in the absence of the legal deterrent to these.”

He said: “The number of massacres in the Syrian coast and its mountains reached 39 since the escalation, whose spark was attacks by gunmen from the Alawite sect on March 6, against the forces of the Syrian Ministry of Interior and Defense to begin the killings, field executions and ethnic cleansing operations since March 7, within 72 hours and are still ongoing, where the Syrian Observatory recorded new massacres in the Quneitra neighborhood in Tartous, Baniyas city Lattakia, the village of sand and the village of Rusafa in the countryside of Masyaf.

The observatory pointed out that “the total number of civilian victims whose liquidation took place reached 973, including women and children.”
