An economic expert confirmed to “Lebanon 24” that the reconstruction process in Lebanon will affect the dollar exchange rate.

The expert indicated that historically, the reconstruction operations after wars caused clear pressure on the Lebanese lira.

In the details, the import operations that will take place as soon as the construction process will lead to pressure on the trade balance, where the deficit will expand.

The source pointed out that if financial and in -kind assistance flows to Lebanon, this may limit the gap in the trade balance.
