US officials reveal what Trump wants from Zelinski

The “NBC” network quoted US officials that US President Donald Trump told his aides that the metal deal between the United States and Ukraine would not be sufficient to resume military aid and exchange intelligence with Kiev. This comes as American and Ukrainian officials are preparing to hold talks in Saudi Arabia next week.

The network quotes officials as saying that Trump wants to sign the deal, which would give the United States a stake in mineral resources in Ukraine, but he also wants to see a change in the position of Ukrainian President Voludimir Zellinski towards peace talks, including preparedness to make concessions such as waiver of lands to Russia.
They also indicated that Trump also wants Zelinski to take some move towards the elections in Ukraine and perhaps towards step down as president of the country.
Regarding the recent Russian military progress at the expense of Ukraine, the officials said that there are no indications that the supply of the United States in Kev with intelligence information had had a direct impact on Russian attacks, and they added that these major attacks were probably planned before the interruption of intelligence and military aid to Ukraine.
They said that the United States is still sharing the defense intelligence information with Ukraine, which helps it defend itself against Russian attacks, but it does not provide information that helps Ukraine to attack Russian targets.
