Russian and Chinese ships in Iran to participate in military maneuvers


Iran, Russia and China are conducting military exercises off the coast of the Gulf of Amman in the southeast of the country, in order to “enhance regional security”, according to Iranian media.

These countries had conducted joint maneuvers in the region during the past years, based on their joint desire to face what they describe as “American hegemony”.


The Tasnim agency of the Revolutionary Guards stated that the maneuvers will “start on Tuesday in the port of Chabahar” overlooking the Gulf of Oman in southeastern Iran, without setting its duration.

The official “IRNA” agency, for its part, stated that the two is the date of the start of these maneuvers, which was called “the security belt 2025”.

She pointed out that “combat and supportive ships of the Chinese and Russian navy, the Iranian army ships and the (Revolutionary Guard) sea will participate in the maneuvers, according to the” French Press Agency “.

The exercises are taking place “in the northern region of the Indian Ocean”, and aims to “enhance security in the region and expand multilateral cooperation between the participating countries,” according to the agency.

The exercises will be attended by the observer of Azerbaijan, South Africa, the Sultanate of Oman, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Qatar, Iraq, the Emirates and Sri Lanka.

The Chinese Ministry of Defense said that Beijing will publish a “destroyer and a supply ship.”
