We pledge to protect the ladder and deter threats

The Director of the Public Security Department in Lattakia Governorate, Mustafa Kanifati, affirmed the commitment of the security services to maintain security and stability, stressing that there is no compromise in protecting civil peace and ensuring the safety of all citizens.

Kanifati explained that the competent authorities continue to pursue the elements that threaten security, noting that any person who proves his involvement in violence or attacks, whether from the remnants of the previous regime or from the outlaw groups, will be held accountable according to legal procedures.

He added that the security services will not allow sedition or targeting any component of Syrian society, stressing that the rule of law is the primary guarantee for achieving justice. He also called on the citizens not to be drawn into the invitations of incitement, and left the matter to the competent institutions that work to impose security and address any threats that may be stable.

This comes in light of the escalation of tensions in the Syrian coast region since last Wednesday, which led to dozens of victims as a result of the ongoing clashes. (Russia today)
