After a bloody night … the extension of the curfew in Tartous until 12 noon


The Syrian authorities decided to extend the roaming period in the city of Tartous until 12 o’clock in the afternoon of local time “for security reasons”, according to the Sky News Arabia correspondent.

The authorities decided to impose a curfew in the cities of Tartous and Lattakia governorates on the Syrian coast, after violent clashes between fighters linked to ousted President Bashar al -Assad and the security forces.


She added that widespread combing operations began in the centers of cities, villages, towns and surrounding mountains.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights announced earlier on Friday that at least 70 people were killed in Lattakia, during the bloody clashes.

The observatory reported through the platform “X”, that “more than 70 people were killed and dozens of wounded and prisoners in clashes and bloody ambushes in the Syrian coast between elements of the ministries of defense and the interior and gunmen from the defunct regime’s army.”

The Syrian coast witnessed a great tension after the new authorities deployed numbers of its security forces, and the residents reported hearing heavy gunfire in a number of cities and villages, on Thursday. (Sky News)
