America’s discussions, enthusiasm and Egypt have ended positively

Reuters quoted two Egyptian sources as confirming today, Thursday, that discussions took place on Wednesday evening between US President’s envoy Donald Trump, Hamas leaders and brokers from Cairo and Doha.

The two sources also said that the talks between America and Egypt dealt with the Gaza administration after the end of the war and the names of the Sidirin of the Gaza Strip.

Two sources confirmed that “the discussions have ended positively and indicate a soon transfer to the second stage of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza.”

The United States announced yesterday that it had made secret contact with Hamas in consultation with Israel.

This represents a break with a long -term policy that the United States did not hold direct talks with groups that it considers terrorist.

When a White House spokeswoman, Caroline Levitt, was asked about these direct contacts, which was first revealed by the “Axios” website, she replied that the US Special Envoy for Prisoners Affairs Adam Boller, who “participates in negotiations, has the authority to speak to anyone.”

She added that “it was consulted with Israel in this regard,” refusing to provide details about these discussions, and confirmed that “the souls of the Americans are at stake.”
