We will isolate Iran from the global financial system

The US Treasury Secretary, Scott Besent, said today, Thursday, that the United States will exert a campaign of maximum pressure to impose sanctions on Iran with the aim of collapsing its oil exports and pressuring its currency.

“Make Iran go bankrupt again to represent our modified policy in imposing sanctions,” Besent told New York Economic Club members.

He added that Washington will prevent Iran from reaching the global financial system by targeting regional parties.
