Jordan hosts a regional meeting to discuss security cooperation in Syria

The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced, on Thursday, that the Kingdom will host next Sunday a meeting of the Syrian neighboring countries.

The Foreign Ministry said in a statement: “The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan will host next Sunday, a meeting of the Syrian neighboring countries; To discuss practical mechanisms for cooperation in combating terrorism, drug smuggling and weapons, and facing other common challenges.

She indicated that “the meeting will discuss ways to support the brotherly Syrian people in its efforts to rebuild their country on the foundations that guarantee its unity, sovereignty, security and stability, its disposal of terrorism, and guarantee the conditions of voluntary return of refugees, and preserve the rights of all its children.”

She explained that the participants are: foreign ministers, defense, army leaders and intelligence directors of Jordan, Turkey, Syria, Iraq and Lebanon. (Anatolia)
