Trump begins the demobilization of intelligence staff

The United States has started implementing government discounts at the CIA, which was ordered by the administration of US President Donald Trump, which led to a decline in the performance of a number of its employees.

Informed sources reported that some of those who were appointed during the past two years have been appointed to a site far from the agency’s headquarters in Langley, Virginia, and they were asked to hand over their identification cards to security personnel, according to CNN.

Displaced operations aim to reduce the number of newly appointed officers, called “under test employees”.

Wrapping

The network stated that some young officers working inside the Langley headquarters are hesitant in responding to their phones, fearing that the call from the security department will ask them to go to an external site.

The separation operations have greatly affected the morale, and led to a decline in productivity this week, according to sources familiar with the situation.

A spokeswoman for the agency confirmed that some of the officers who were appointed during the past two years have been dismissed, and the number of officers to be separated, but people familiar with the matter have not become clear that all newly appointed those who are newly appointed will not necessarily be demobilized.

The spokeswoman said that the Central Intelligence Agency has declined the performance of the employees who joined the agency during the past two years, noting that the review focuses on how new employees dealt with rapid and dangerous situations, while other officials indicated that the separation operations are based on performance.

However, other sources reported that there are fewer cases of separation in vital fields such as collecting information about China, as well as Mexican drug smuggling.

Federal decision allows the separation

The separation operations come only days after a federal judge issued a decision allowing the Director of the CIA, John Ratcliffe, to separate employees freely.

Judge Anthony J. Tringa, from the Eastern District Court in Virginia, had issued his ruling in a case filed by officers charged with the efforts of diversity and employment in the administration of former President Joe Biden, and the ruling requires that Ratckelv has the authority to separate any officer in the agency for any reason without the right to appeal.

After reviewing the verdict, the Office of the CIA CIA allowed the CECECL to continue to reduce the agency, but Kevin Carroll, a lawyer who represented former employees who were dismissed, indicated that Judge Tringa highly recommended to allow the employees dismissed to appeal their separation decisions.

The CIA officers are officially subject to a four -year test period, but the Personnel Management Office is currently focusing on reducing the number of employees who have been appointed recently.
