A series of Canadian sanctions on military leaders and companies in Sudan


The Canadian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced sanctions on a number of military leaders in Sudan, which included the commander of the army, Abdel Fattah al -Burhan, and the commander of the Rapid Support Forces, Muhammad Hamdan Daglo.

The sanctions also affected the commander of the Air Force in the Sudanese Army, Taher Al -Amin, and former director of the Bashir regime intelligence, Salah Gosh. It also included the “Sudan Master Technology” company.


In Darfur, Canada imposed sanctions on leaders of the Rapid Support Forces, including the Emir of Aseel Massil and Tijani Karshoum. These measures come within the framework of international pressure on the warring parties in Sudan.
