As for the coronation of Aoun’s visit to Riyadh, it was in the joint statement that was issued after the visit, in which the two sides emphasized, “The importance of the full application of the Taif Agreement, the application of relevant international decisions, the state extended its sovereignty over the entire Lebanese territories, the restriction of arms in the hands of the Lebanese state, the emphasis on the national role of the Lebanese army, the importance of its support, and the need to withdraw the Israeli occupation army from all Lebanese lands.”
