For his part, the Syrian President affirmed his keenness to “start a new page of brotherhood relations with the Arab countries, especially Egypt,” according to the Egyptian presidency.

The Syrian President pointed to his desire to join jointly with Egypt in a way that achieves the interests of the two countries and the Arab nation, and appreciating the Egyptian efforts supporting the unity and integrity of the lands of Arab countries and the restoration of regional stability.
