The sub -committee emanating from the Administration and Justice Committee continued to study the proposal of the Media Law at its session today, headed by the Chairman of the Committee, Representative George Aqis, and the presence of the deputies: Bilal Abdullah, Hussein Al -Hajj Hassan, Halima Qaqour and Firas Hamdan.

The session was also attended by the Minister of Information, Dr. Paul Morcos, former MP Ghassan Makhiber, the head of the written press editors, Joseph Al -Qusaifi, Deputy Captain of the Press editors, written by Salah Taqiuddin, lawyer Farouk Al -Maghrabi and Rali Makhael.

In a previous session, the committee had previously approved the articles related to the definitions, as well as the provisions related to defamation and defamation in addition to the provisions that have to do with the public employee in its broad sense, and protect the right with the image and compensation that arises in the event of violating this right.

The committee continued in today’s session, he studied the aforementioned proposal, and she studied materials related to media institutions, which deal with the ownership of media institutions and their representation and the obligations of the media owners, special penalties, along with other provisions related to the aforementioned department.
