Cooperation between economic bodies and the Minister of Information to activate Lebanon TV

Economic bodies headed by former Minister Mohamed Shuqair held a meeting with the Minister of Information Paul Murnch at the headquarters of the Beirut Chamber and Mount Lebanon, where the two parties discussed ways of cooperation to activate the role of Lebanon TV and enhance the economic pillars of Lebanon.

Shukair stressed the importance of preserving the free economy and the individual initiative, noting that the bodies prepared a reform paper under the title “aspirations towards the new Lebanon”, which was delivered to the President of the Republic, Joseph Aoun, and will be presented later to officials.

For his part, Minister Morcos stressed the need for economic advancement in parallel with the development of the media, expressing his desire to see the plan of economic bodies to support various sectors, including tourism and industry. He also pointed to plans to reorganize Lebanon TV administration, to be a university platform far from political alignments.

The two sides agreed to continue coordination to follow up on the proposals, in order to enhance the role of the media in supporting the Lebanese economy.
