Magnetic storms hit the Earth this evening .. These are their levels!

The solar astronomy laboratory at the Russian Academy of Sciences announced that magnetic storms will strike the Earth this evening, as a result of the arrival of a medium -sized plasma cloud to the Earth’s magnetic cover around seven in the evening.

According to the report issued by the laboratory, the storms will start between 20:00 and 21: 00 Moscow time, and will continue between six to nine hours, with the expected disturbances in the magnetic field until the middle of Wednesday, March 5.

The report indicated that the storms will be from the G1 and G2 levels, and may lead to the emergence of the phenomenon of the polar twilight in some regions of Russia.

Magnetic storms are divided into five degrees according to their intensity, classified from G1 (weak) to G5 (very strong). These phenomena are caused by solar glow, which may lead to disturbances in energy systems, and the effect of bird migration paths, as well as the possibility of an imbalance in communication and navigation systems.
