Syria .. Two elements of the Ministry of Defense were killed in an ambush in Lattakia

The Syrian News Agency “SANA” reported today, Tuesday, the killing of two members of the Syrian Ministry of Defense in Lattakia Governorate.

“SANA” quoted a security source as saying that “groups of Assad militia’s remnants killed and crossed an armed ambush that killed two members of the Syrian Ministry of Defense in the Al -Dawatour neighborhood of Latakia.”

The source added: “The Internal Security Department is now launching a wide security campaign in the Da`rtur neighborhood and several neighborhoods surrounding the arrest of the militia’s remnants and handing them over to justice.”

On Monday, Israeli aviation launched strikes on the vicinity of the city of Tartous in western Syria, according to the official news agency, after the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported an explosion near the city’s port.

SANA reported: “Air strikes carried out by the Israeli occupation aircraft in the vicinity of the city of Tartous, without registering human losses so far.”

She added, “The civil defense teams and the competent teams are working to ensure the location of targeting.”

For his part, the Israeli army said that it was raided “in the Qirdaha area in Syria on a military site.”

Since the beginning of the year 2025, the Syrian Observatory counted 1925, during which Israel targeted the Syrian territories, 17 of which are air and 2 wildns.

These strikes resulted in the injury and destruction of about 21 goals between weapons and ammunition warehouses, headquarters, centers and mechanisms. (Sky News)
