After the intense meeting in the White House, Macron stands in the Zelensky row

Macron became the first president to stand in the ranks of Zelinski after the “fiery meeting”, which caused a sensation on Friday.

“Russia is the aggressor and Ukraine is the aggressor,” Macron commented on Trump and Zelinski.

He stressed: “We were right to help Ukraine and punish Russia 3 years ago, and we will continue to take this position.”

The two presidents were talking to the media, before their glow became strong towards each other, as Trump told Zelinski: “You are gambling to ignite a third world war … either you conclude an agreement or we will move away.”

“His statements are lacking in respect,” Reuters quoted Trump as saying to Zelinski.
