The army is the one who defends Lebanon, and it is responsible for preserving the security of the homeland, protecting its people, preserving its sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity.

Today, the Lebanese army is carrying out its duties, and strengthens its spread with determination and determination to establish stability in the south and the return of our people to their villages and homes.

He added: “I confirm that the government will enable the Lebanese army by increasing, equipping, training, and improving its conditions, which enhances its estimates in order to defend Lebanon.

I would like to express my appreciation for the role of UNIFIL as a peacekeeping force that has been present with Lebanon and south since 1978 and a number of its elements presented their lives in order to achieve its mission. He also praised its close cooperation with the army and the Lebanese authorities to implement resolution 1701, in order to strengthen the security and stability of Lebanon and its south.

He concluded: “We reject any attack on UNIFIL and confirm the work without compromise to stop and hold those responsible for this, and we are keen to carry out all procedures for not repeating them.”
