The capabilities of the Lebanese army are getting hard

In his response to “Al -Nahar”, General Benchsan said during a meeting with the press in Paris that the Lebanese army is doing the work required of it, adding that the level of disarmament of Hezbollah in the south advanced tangiblely, especially since in the context of our mechanism for monitoring it is documented to its locations before and after disarmament, there is no doubt for that.

The general added in his meeting with the press during a quick visit to Paris with an important goal, “He heads what he called Task Force Cedre, which works as part of the ceasefire monitoring mechanism in southern Lebanon headed by the American general. He continued the November 26 agreement to the ceasefire stipulating that the Lebanese army and the UNIFIL forces alone are deployed in southern Lebanon.
The general emphasized that the Lebanese army made great and serious efforts to disarm outside the state. “The army made a number of missions, the delegation and destruction of the illegal weapon that they found on the ground and every step by the army in this framework documented with pictures of the committee.

In parallel with this work, the general said that the Lebanese army implemented the task of controlling the area of ​​southern Litani, which is an unprecedented large work that contributed to the ceasefire and may need more time for three reasons for the first limited move due to the difficulty of the land in some areas due to the tremendous destruction and also the danger of places where there are still mine and explosive shells.

He said that the army is doing very accurate work and progressing caution in different areas, then the Israeli forces remain in five points, restricting the movement of the Lebanese army and obliging it to ensure the security of the entrances to these areas where the Israeli forces are located. He considered that the great action carried out by the Lebanese army strengthens the vocalism of the president and the new government in Lebanon to ensure the security of all Lebanese territories.

He revealed that until today more than 170 Lebanese army operations took place to remove or detonate illegal weapons sites. He said that the French force is continuing its work with the American forces, in coordination with UNIFIL and the Lebanese army, so that the Israeli withdrawal is completely withdrawing from Lebanese territory, and the Lebanese army forces can deploy in southern Lebanon.

He also emphasized that the Lebanese army is doing a great job in helping the residents of the south to return to their homes and ensure their security by making great efforts.
