Clashes between the supporters of Palestine and the American police at the University of Colombia


Supporting demonstrators for the Palestinians clashed with the American police after they tried to prevent them from entering the University of Colombia’s campus in New York, where they entered a hall of Bernard College at the university.

The demonstrators stormed the “Milbank” hall in “Bernard College” at the University of Colombia in New York, wearing the traditional keffiyeh and masks, and the hall includes the Dean’s office, where they assaulted one of the employees there on Wednesday, according to the Associated Press.

The dean of “Bernard College”, Laura Rosenbury, said in a statement that the demonstrators “left the Melbank hall in the evening, without any other facts, but they ignored the safety of our society are never acceptable.”

She warned that if he did not leave the college by the college by 09:30 pm, officials may have to take additional measures to protect the campus.

In its account on the “X” platform, the “Columbia University Students for Justice in Palestine” said that the demonstrators “dispersed after the administration agreed to meet them on Thursday afternoon.”

According to the group, the demonstrators demanded pardoning all the students who were taken against them because of their pro -Palestine actions, the meeting with Rosenbury and Dean Leslie Greenag, and to retract the decision to expel 2 students.
