Russia extends the ban on the export of gasoline until this date

The Russian government announced the extension of the ban on the export of gasoline until the end of next August, with the exception of its direct producers.

This came, according to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s office, which indicated that the decision aims to maintain the stability of the local fuel market, support the oil refining industry, and combat the illegal export of gasoline.

The statement said: “It was decided to ban the export of car gasoline from March 1 to August 31 of 2025, and this ban will not apply to the shipments carried out by direct producers of oil products.”

Last week, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak announced the extension of the restrictions imposed on the export of gasoline, which includes the export ban on merchants while allowing producers to export fuel to foreign markets. (Russia today)
