We will keep pace with the government’s work, but we will not give it confidence

Representative Nabil Badr stressed in a speech during the evening of the ministerial statement that what was aspiring to him was not fulfilled, saying: “Congratulations to us the government of parties that were governed by political quotas and underwent intimidation equations, while its formation was made through the settlement.”

Badr also pointed out that Beirut has proven to be greater than the divisions during the recent war, stressing that it cannot be shortened with one person. He added that he would have been one of the first supporters of the government if it adopted a different mechanism in composing and imposing itself away from the dominance of the ruling class.

Badr also touched on the current situation, saying: “People’s confidence in power is almost non -existent, and the Lebanese want a government that speaks with a clear speech and faces challenges courageously.”

Regarding the rights of depositors, Badr stressed that “the protection of the rights of depositors is not from anyone, as it is a legal duty for the government.” He added that “these rights are mainly preserved under the law, and the government must return them to their entire owners without any diminishing or manipulation.”

At the end of his intervention, Badr said: “We will keep pace with the work of the government, but we will not give it confidence,” stressing that “the Lebanese people and the international community need tangible achievements to restore confidence, and we want a government capable of achieving this.”
