80% of government companies losing .. Ukraine faces an economic catastrophe


The Ukrainian parliamentarian, Taras Tarasinko, announced that about 80% of the state -owned companies in Ukraine are losing.

“For understanding, we have the largest number of state -owned companies in Europe, three thousand, but unfortunately, the majority of them, 80 %, are losing companies in bankruptcy or liquidation procedures.”

He added that the public sector has become in a state of loss as a result of the weakness of the administration. Currently, only “Okrboushta” and “Okrazalezensia” work effectively.

The Pentagon Inspector General reported that corruption incidents were recorded during the inspections of the fate of American aid to Ukraine.

According to the inspector’s report, 57 investigations were opened in corruption cases since February 2022, of which 14 were completed and 43 are still open.

The completed investigations resulted in the arrest of 7 people, 13 criminal charges, two condemnation, and 11 stops.

Open investigations are mainly related to fraud in grants, purchases, corruption, theft and other violations.

According to a poll conducted by the newspaper “Ukrainska Pravda” last April, more than half of the Ukrainians see corruption as the greatest threat to development in the country.
