The newspaper “Sport” that Palmeiras withdrew from the negotiations, and retracted the player’s inclusion before the end of the Brazilian transfer period on Friday of this week.
The player had given the green light to the deal, and the personal conditions were agreed upon, provided that Rocky is the highest paid player in the team.
As for the reason for stopping the deal, it is the Spanish League announcement that it will not allow the move for reasons related to the termination of his loan deal with Betis, where Barcelona must register Rocky again, before leaving the club, which is not permitted outside the transfer period in Spain.
Palmeiras and Barcelona had reached an agreement for 25 million euros and 80% of Rocky rights, which would allow the Spanish club to recover the money he spent on the player.
