The Speaker of Parliament Nabih Berri received, at the second presidential headquarters in Ain al -Tina, the Speaker of the Shura Council in the Islamic Republic of Iran, Muhammad Baqir Qalibaf and the accompanying delegation, in the presence of the Iranian ambassador Mujtaba Amani, where the meeting dealt with developments in the situation in Lebanon, the region and bilateral relations between Lebanon and the Islamic Republic of Iran and cooperation Between the parliamentarians of the two countries.

After the meeting, Qalibaf said: “Today we visited the Lebanese Republic at the head of a high -level delegation and representatives of all the Iranian authorities and various Iranian governmental and non -governmental organizations and organizations, on the cultural authorities and a number of Iranian martyrs to participate in the funeral of the body of the pure body of His Eminence, Hassan Nasrallah and Mr. Hashem Safi al -Din. ”

He added: “In addition to participating in the funeral ceremony, I had a meeting with a number of Lebanese officials, where I was held this morning with His Excellency the President of the Lebanese Republic, Joseph Aoun, and another meeting with the state of the Lebanese Speaker of the Parliament, Nabih Berri, and it is scheduled to meet the state of the prime minister later today Nawaf Salam. In fact, what we witnessed today in these ceremonies and expressed by the mourners is a milestone for the entire Lebanese people, in which they expressed the extent of their love and affection for this great martyr who is considered a national figure not only for Lebanon but for the Islamic nation where there was participation in hundreds of thousands with this great event, and there are hundreds of thousands Among those who were not able to attend in this scene, but the hearts of these people and the hearts of the Islamic nation were failing to love these two great martyrs.

Qalibaf concluded: “I hope this visit will lead to more cooperation relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Lebanon, especially with the start of the work of the new government, and for Lebanon to be prosperous and stable, it is necessary that there will be a consensus between the various components of the Lebanese people, including the government, the people and the resistance In this regard, I want to emphasize this important point that we will stand alongside any decision unanimously issued by the Lebanese government, the people and the Lebanese resistance.
