A mass in one of the memorials of the believers in the Church of Mar Yusuf Zgharta

After reciting the Holy Gospel, the Khoury Makhlouf gave a sermon in which he said: “We celebrate the week of the believers who have a link between us and them. They arrived for us, and they pray for us in front of the heavenly Father and remind us until we enjoy with them with eternal glory, and they intercede for us and this intercession is acceptable.”

He continued: “The church put the week of the dead before the start of the time of the blessed fasting is not a coincidence, but to tell us that every person will die physically, but at the end of the march of fasting there is the resurrection and the new life.”

He added: “Our Lord asks us to be alert and choose the right choice in this life, which is solidarity with others and sharing good things with them so that we can be with him in the heavenly kingdom.”

Makhlouf concluded: “The words of the Lord is a lesson for us and it is light and life, and we must live every day as if it were our last day in this world.
