European stocks record successive gains for the ninth week


European stocks were closed near the highest level ever in Friday session, to record the longest weekly series of gains in nearly a year, while the German DAX index fell with investors following the upcoming early elections in the country.

The European Stoxx 600 index rose 0.5%, recovering from the lowest level in the week it recorded in Thursday’s session.

The index received support from the shares of health care companies after the US Food and Drug Administration said that there is no longer a lack of properties
