292 million people without social protection in the Arab world

The United Nations Economic and Social Committee of Asia Western “ESCWA” issued a new report on the occasion of the International Day of Social Justice, revealing deep disparities in reaching basic opportunities and services in the Arab region.

According to the report, 187 million people face marginalization in the fields of health, education, food security, technology, social protection, and economic opportunities, while about 292 million people lack at least one entitlement to the advantages of social protection. (Sky News)
