Ukraine will have a seat in peace talks

On Thursday, US President Donald Trump confirmed that Ukraine will be a party to negotiations to end the war with Russia, expressing his belief that his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, “wants peace.”

The Republican President told reporters at the White House the day after his contact with his Russian counterpart: “I think he will tell me if he does not want,” peace.

Trump confirmed that Ukraine will have a seat on the table during any peace negotiations with Russia on ending the war.

He added in statements to reporters at the White House that the war in Ukraine should end.

The US President also indicated that he wanted to discuss Russia and China to reduce defensive spending.
