Monaco comes out of the dark tunnel at the expense of Aston Villa

The Monaco team came out of the dark tunnel with a precious victory over its guest Aston Villa 1/0 in the seventh round of the Champions League league stage, today, Tuesday.

Ivorian defender Wilfred Singo scored the only goal of the emirate’s team in the eighth minute of the match that was held at Louis II Stadium.

The referee also canceled a second goal by Monaco, scored by Magnus Akliush in the 50th minute, due to infiltration.

With this victory, Monaco broke his series of defeats since the beginning of this year against Paris Saint -Germain in the Super Cup, and Montelier in the last round of the league, in addition to the shock of the 32nd round of the French Cup.

Monaco also exceeded two consecutive losses in the Champions League against Benfica and Arsenal to raise its score to 13 points in 12th place, leaving the goal difference from Aston Villa, the ninth place, so that the French team revives its hopes of qualifying for the round of 16.

Monaco concludes his league career with a difficult confrontation outside its stadium against Inter Milan in the eighth round, while Aston Villa plays against its Scottish guest Celtic.
