We congratulate Lebanon on forming the new government

The European Union’s supreme representative congratulated Kaya Callas on the formation of the new Lebanese government.

In a statement, Calas said: I extend my warmest congratulations to Lebanon for forming the new government, and I wish Prime Minister Nawaf Salam and the government as a whole complete success in achieving the aspirations of the Lebanese people. In particular, I congratulate Youssef Raji on his appointment as Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, and I look forward to working with him.

She added: The European Union reaffirms its firm support for the Lebanese people, especially rebuilding state institutions capable of carrying out its tasks in serving all citizens. We are ready to support the new government in moving forward with a reformist and aspiration agenda and re -launching partnership between the European Union and Lebanon, including the partnership council held this year.
