The first American comment on the formation of the government .. What did the embassy say?

The American embassy in Beirut welcomed the formation of the new Lebanese government headed by Nawaf Salam, and urged to apply necessary reforms that contribute to rebuilding institutions and combating corruption.

In a statement on the X platform, the embassy said: The Lebanese people deserve a government that will rebuild the institutions of the Lebanese state, fight corruption, and apply the necessary reforms.

The embassy called for the drafting of a ministerial statement that helps Lebanon to pass this stage and draw a path towards achieving these goals.
