President Naguib Mikati congratulated the formation of the new government, wishing its president, Dr. Nawwaf Salam and its members success.

In a statement, Mikati said: We salute the efforts of His Excellency President Joseph Aoun to issue the first government during his reign, and we hope again that the full cooperation will be the characteristic of the stage that requires a lot of work to resolve the many outstanding issues, foremost of which is the end of the Israeli occupation in the south and the completion of the implementation of Resolution 1701.

He concluded: We also wish the new government success in pursuing the rescue efforts that our government has established for more than three years.
