Trump appoints himself to this position

US President Donald Trump has announced that he would dismiss the members of the Board of Trustees in the Kennedy Cultural Center and appoint himself as Chairman of the Council.

He also indicated that he will determine the center’s programs, which is one of the leading cultural institutions in the country.

Trump’s announcement came at a time when he made major changes during the first weeks of his second term, as he tried to close federal agencies, freeze spending and end the initiatives of diversity, equality and integration throughout the government.

The US President wrote on his social media website: “Based on my directives, we will make the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC, is great again. I decided to end the work of many individuals immediately from the Board of Trustees, including the president, who do not participate in our vision of a golden age in arts and culture.

He added, “We will soon announce a new board of trustees, chaired by a wonderful president, Donald Trump.”
