The International Monetary Fund will announce a new loan package for Egypt


The International Monetary Fund is planning to unveil a new loan agreement for Egypt that will be offered to its board of directors for approval, according to what the Director of the Communication Department of the Authority, Julie Cosak.

“The Fund’s Executive Council will consider a package of reforms within the framework of a fourth review of the Egypt program,” Kozak said in a statement to reporters in Washington.


Kozak pointed out that the planned new loan agreement will take the form of facilitation of hardness and sustainability, which is a mechanism designed for several goals, including helping countries in tackling climate change, pointing out that it is currently unable to confirm the size of this loan.
