Southern Lebanon stores challenge the domain … insistence on work again!

The “Al -Arabi Al -Jadeed” website published a report entitled “The Ruachered Villages of Lebanon … insisting on the return of work despite the broad destruction”, and it stated:

On the gradual return of the people of the border villages in southern Lebanon and the launch of the survey work in the towns from which the Israeli army withdrew, the features of the destruction began to reveal and the effects of the Israeli aggression be shown economically, amid international estimates with losses of $ 8 billion.

Since last January 26, the date of the expiration of the sixty -day period, which was stipulated in the ceasefire agreement between Lebanon and Israel as it came into effect on November 27, the residents began to return to their land, and they lost the damage that affected their homes, institutions, commercial stores and livelihoods, designed to stay Despite the Israeli threats and the continued attacks on civilians and bombing and bleeding, and despite the lack of elements of life and basic services such as water, sanitation, electricity and others.

A tour of some villages

On a tour of “Al -Arabi Al -Jadeed” on some border villages in southern Lebanon, including Yaron, the consciousness of the people, and Maroun Al -Ras, we monitored the large extent of the devastation that touched infrastructure, roads, agricultural lands, homes, residential units, cars, institutions, supermarkets, mosques, pharmacies, gasoline stations, hospitals and health centers , And other shops that either were equal to the land, or that were damaged in a way that places it outside the scope of work, and makes the returning residents unable to reach the simplest materials and basic commodities for living and steadfastness.

On the way to the villages, the path was very difficult, as the streets were filled with stones, and the scattered glass of buildings and institutions, and the affected and charred cars were pillaged on its side, and one can hardly find an unparalleled or valid grocery store to open its doors in front of customers, so compensation with some stalls to meet the needs of Returning from bread, water, coffee and other basic materials.

Return to work with facilitation

Pending the end of surveying operations by the official authorities and actors in the region, to provide aid and compensation to the affected people, it was remarkable to accelerate the owners of the shops and institutions to start cleaning and lifting glass and kick These, the citizen, Muhammad Rashid Nassar, whose consumption (his store) was exposed in the border town of Aita, the border of the people, and all the goods were destroyed, however, he is determined to open its doors as soon as possible to meet the needs of the people.

Nassar returned to his town Aita Al -Shaab since the first day of the expiration of the sixty -day period, that is, on January 26, and immediately went to his consumption, which is his only source of livelihood for 25 years, to find it greatly affected, and the goods in it are damaged, from food and basic commodities, Note that he had previously visited it before the aggression expanded last September, but the enemy continued the method of ruin and harm during the truce and deepened of losses and destruction.

Nassar told Al -Arabi Al -Jadeed: “The scene is harmful and the livelihood has gone, and the provision is overwhelmed by its companions, but the concern and trust in our Lord exists, which gives us determination and strength to stand and stand up and work to rebuild our country and our land that we inherited from our ancestors at least to our children and grandchildren until they complete the march.”

Nassar notes that “the losses are very large.

He adds: “The store and the warehouse in which the goods are the only source of my livelihood and lost them as a result of the aggression, and throughout the war, I remained unemployed, my only fake today is to restore life to my town, and although no one has revealed the damage until the hour of the official authorities, I started quickly Maintenance and repair work, to restart consumers, not for material gain, but rather with the aim of securing the needs of people at least bread, water and basic materials, to urge them and encourage them to return, because the lack of commodities and basic services would make it difficult to return.

For his part, one of the owners of car repair garages in the town of Aita Al -Shaab began cleaning the shop and raising the scattered glass and iron panels with the help of some young men and neighbors, “the world is for some of them” as he says to “Al -Arabi Al -Jadeed”, and he adds: “Here the damage is very large in the town, where The occupation blew up most of its neighborhoods, homes and shops, and deliberately implemented the policy of spoiling, bombing and cliffs, and the majority of the roads have become improper, and it is difficult to reach my home where I work mechanically, and despite that, I want to intensify the workshops to open its doors as soon as possible, in order to show the town’s ability to return and stand Again. ”

The southern citizen also notes that “the damage to the border villages is very large, and it has even increased during the truce period, as the enemy, since the conclusion of the ceasefire, has come into effect on November 27 and until today, it performs blowing and bombing infrastructure, roads, homes and institutions, in The framework of the burned earth policy, and the income of towns that he was unable to enter throughout the war, which deepened the losses, but nevertheless the love of the people of the south for their land and their attachment to its soil and their love for its nature will keep them in it, and pushing them to work together to rebuild it to return as it was and even better.
