Katz holds security consultations on the options for the displacement of Gaza residents

Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz held a security consultative meeting at the Ministry’s headquarters in Tel Aviv, to discuss the possibility and options for the displacement of residents of the Gaza Strip “voluntarily”.

“I welcome the bold plan of US President Donald Trump,” Katz said. The residents of Gaza must be allowed to enjoy freedom of exit and immigration as usual everywhere in the world .. The plan will include options for going out in the wild crossings in addition to special arrangements to go through the sea and air.

He added: “The enthusiasm of Gaza’s residents used human shields and set up terrorist infrastructure in the heart of the residents, and it is now holding them as hostages, extorting money from them using humanitarian aid, and preventing them from leaving Gaza.”

He also pointed out that “countries such as Spain, Ireland, Norway and others have been charged with false accusations and allegations against Israel because of its activities in Gaza, obligated under the law to allow all Gaza population to enter its territory and their hypocrisy will be exposed if they refuse to do so.”

He stressed that “there are countries like Canada, who has an organized immigration program and previously expressed their desire to receive residents from Gaza.”
