UNRWA warns that hundreds of thousands of Palestinians are exposed to the risk of a cold


On Thursday, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency, UNRWA, warned that heavy rains and strong winds in the Gaza Strip were exposed to hundreds of thousands of Palestinians, after Israel destroyed their homes during the annihilation, which lasted for more than 15 months.

“Many Palestinian families still live in temporary shelters due to the widespread destruction in the sector,” the UN agency added in a post on the X platform.

She stated that “the heavy rains and the strong winds that have intensified in the Gaza Strip, especially during the past 24 hours, were exposed to hundreds of thousands of Palestinians at risk of cold.”

She pointed out that “her teams continue to provide urgent awaited aid, especially tents, mattresses, blankets, and clothes for the displaced throughout the sector.”

UNRWA also published a video clip showing the strong winds uprooting the tents of the displaced and nylon displaced, and their purposes were scattered in the Al -Mawsi area northwest of Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip.
