The purchases of the population of 4 Arab countries of gold during the past year decreased to 166.8 tons from about 180.1 tons during 2023, according to the data of the World Gold Council.

The total golden artifacts of the total purchases reached about 108 tons, a decrease of about 10 tons from the year 2023, while alloys purchases amounted to 58.7 tons compared to 61.2 tons.


The Egyptians lost the top of the Arab people to buy gold after they decreased about 12% during the past world to 50.1 tons compared to 57 tons, but they ranked second with a slight difference from the Saudis.

The Saudis issued the list during the past year with 50.3 tons purchases, but it is about 4% less than the levels of the year 2023 of about 52.3 tons.

The Emiratis remained in third place with purchases of 48 tons, a decrease of 6% to 51.2 tons, while Kuwaitis were fourth despite their purchases declining about 6% to 18.4 tons.

The purchases of Egyptians from alloys declined to 24 tons during 2024 compared to 30.3 tons in 2023, while the works reached about 26.1 tons, a decrease of 2% from 26.7 tons in the year before last.

However, during the fourth quarter, the Egyptian purchases of the artists increased to 6.3 tons compared to 5.1 tons in the previous quarter, and the alloys rose to 5.9 tons from about 5.3 tons in the third quarter. (Arabic)
