Al -Yamahi also stressed that “such statements do not serve the efforts to achieve a fair and comprehensive peace, but rather to the conflict and increase tension in the region, at a time when the international community needs to support efforts aimed at achieving a fair and comprehensive settlement of the Palestinian issue, on the basis of United Nations resolutions and principle The two -state solution, “noting that” the countries at the Arab and international levels, led by Egypt and Jordan, refuse in the form of any attempt to impose a new reality aimed at displacing the Palestinians or harming their historical rights in their homeland. “

The President of the Arab Parliament called on the international community, the Security Council and the United Nations to take a firm international position against any calls or plans aimed at displacing the Palestinians from their land, and affirming their support for the rights of the Palestinian people, foremost of which is its right to self -determination and establish an independent state with its capital, Jerusalem, calling on the states The United States of America to “retract any position or permit that contradict international legitimacy and the rights of the Palestinian people, and does not contribute to achieving the two -state solution, which is the only way to bring peace and security in the region.”

The President of the Arab Parliament renewed his assertion that “the Palestinian issue will remain the central issue and the first of the Arab world, and Arabs and Muslims will not accept any attempts to change the equation or liquidate the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.”
