European support for the implementation of the ceasefire agreement and the release of the prisoners

The President of the Republic, Joseph Aoun, during his meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister of the Slovenian, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European, expressed the aspiration of Lebanon that the European Union stands at his side to implement the terms of the ceasefire agreement.

Aoun also stressed the necessity of launching the Lebanese prisoners in Israel, noting that this matter is part of the agreement that ends on February 18, stressing that Lebanon must abide by Security Council Resolution 1701.

For her part, Prime Minister of the Slovenian Prime Minister confirmed her country’s support for Lebanon, noting that Slovenia will work to coordinate with the European Union to achieve this goal.
