The Sultanate of Oman announced today, Wednesday, that its position rejects any attempts to displace the residents of the Gaza Strip, and the need to respect the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, the first of which is the establishment of their independent state.

The Sultanate of Oman warned in a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, that “any plans aimed at transporting the Palestinians from their lands are a flagrant violation of international law and international legitimacy decisions, and a threat to security and stability in the region.”

The Sultanate of Oman called on the international community to assume its responsibilities in protecting the rights of the Palestinian people, and the need to reach a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue, based on international legitimacy decisions and the Arab peace initiative, and ensures the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital.

On Tuesday, Trump suggested imposing US control on Gaza, and said at a joint press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House: “The United States will take control of the Gaza Strip, and we expect that we will have a long -term ownership there.” (Russia today)
