Lebanon today »A general strike tomorrow and a revolution of anger … What is going on in UNRWA schools?

In a statement, the Supreme Follow -up Committee for the Defense of the detained teachers announced the stopping of work in UNRWA schools, the general strike tomorrow, Wednesday, in the Beddawi camp and in all Palestinian camps in Lebanon, in protest against the suspension of UNRWA 5 teachers from teaching.

The statement pointed out that the strike decision came after the Director of UNRWA in Lebanon Dorothy Klaus continued to insult our people, and throughout the month she refused to receive the committee delegation to resolve the issue of the teachers arrested from work in UNRWA schools. In light of this continuous insult and the continuous injustice of the teachers arrested from work, UNRWA Commissioner Philip Lazarini visited Lebanon, and ignored the meeting with representatives of social and national forces to resolve this issue.

He added: In front of this ignorance and rejection of the UNRWA decisions to arrest 5 honorable teachers from work, under the pretext of neutrality that is used to prejudice the rights of our people and UNRWA employees and align with our enemies who have abandoned us from our country, we announce a comprehensive strike and the closure of schools and UNRWA centers in all of Lebanon, including the Central Office in Beirut With the exception of clinics and environmental health centers tomorrow, Wednesday.

The statement concluded: The UNRWA administration should know that the revolution of anger anger will grow in the coming days and it should take responsibility.
