According to official Palestinian data, on Tuesday, Israel had deserted 5,000 Palestinian families during its continuous military operation in the northern West Bank since last January.

This came in a statement issued by the office of the Palestinian Prime Minister Muhammad Mustafa, after heading in Ramallah in the middle of the West Bank, a meeting that included representatives of ministries and government agencies working in the field of emergency response.

The statement said that the meeting discussed ways to “intensify joint efforts to enhance relief interventions in the northern West Bank (as a result of the Israeli aggression).”

He stressed that the continuous Israeli aggression north of the West Bank “has so far caused the displacement and displacement of about 5,000 families in the Jenin and Tulkarm camps.”

He pointed to “the escalation of homes and widespread destruction of the infrastructure and the property of the citizens (by the Israeli army), especially after the extension of the aggression of the (Israeli) occupation to include the Al -Fara’a camp and the town of Tamoun (in Tubas Governorate).”

The statement indicated that the Refugee Affairs Department of the Palestine Liberation Organization will manage the temporary shelter file for the displaced families, in partnership with the Palestinian Refugee and Works Agency (UNRWA) and the United Nations Development Program.
