We count on your support in the return of the displaced Syrians


The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Abdullah Bou Habib, Deputy Prime Minister and European Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia Tania Fayon and the accompanying delegation, met a work lunch, during which the developments of the political and security situation in Lebanon and the region were circulated.









In her capacity as a non -permanent member of the UN Security Council, he thanked Bouhamib Slovenina for her policy seeking to resolve conflicts by peaceful means in the Middle East and adhere to international legitimacy, explaining the importance of stopping Israel’s repeated attacks on Lebanon, and the need to respect its commitment.

He also thanked her for the emergency humanitarian support she provided to Lebanon during the last Israeli war.

He also stressed the necessity of the return of the displaced Syrians from Lebanon to Syria after the reasons for their presence in Lebanon have been removed.

He pointed out that Lebanon is counting in this regard to the Slovenian support for its request, as Slovenia was one of the 8 European countries that called on the European Union to reset its policy towards Syria, before the fall of the Syrian regime.
