Reuters quoted a senior US administration official that US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will discuss, during the latter’s visit to Washington, ways to maintain ceasefire agreements in Gaza and Lebanon.

The official explained that “Trump and Netanyahu will discuss the second phase of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza”, at a time when Hamas had previously announced the start of contacts and negotiations on it. He also revealed that “Trump believes that the reconstruction of Gaza may take between 10 to 15 years.”

In the same context, the US official stressed that “the historical relationship between the United States and Israel is witnessing a rapid improvement in the light of Trump’s leadership,” noting that “the past four years have witnessed a deterioration in relations between the two countries, but Trump is the American president who is the most supportive of Israel in the history of the states United. ”

On the other hand, the official stated that Trump is expected to sign a presidential memorandum today to reactivate the “maximum pressure” campaign against Iran, with the aim of denying it any means that enables it to obtain a nuclear weapon.
