It contributes to the development and advancement of the sector


The Ministry of Agriculture launched the distribution of farms card in the Agriculture Authority in the Bekaa – Zahle, under the patronage of the Minister of Agriculture, Abbas Al -Hajj Hassan, in the context of supporting the agricultural sector and enhancing cooperation between the Ministry of Agriculture and farmers in various Lebanese regions, in the presence of official, agricultural and union personalities and representatives of a number of cooperatives and mayors.

This initiative comes in a decisive time to improve the mechanism of access to services and support provided to farmers, in light of the challenges facing the agricultural sector in Lebanon.

The Ministry stressed the importance of this card in organizing the agricultural sector in Lebanon and facilitating the obtaining of farmers on the necessary assistance to continue working on the ground and improving productivity, noting that through this step, it seeks to create an accurate database that helps in supporting farmers effectively and influential.

The Minister of Agriculture stressed the importance of registration of farmers in the agricultural registry, explaining that this card is one of the basic tools that contribute to raising the level of coordination between farmers and the ministry, in a way that benefits the development and advancement of the agricultural sector.

He affirmed the Ministry’s continuous commitment to support farmers in the Bekaa and all Lebanese regions, appreciating their efforts in developing the agricultural sector and their contribution to strengthening the national economy.

He pointed out that the ministry is also working to assess the agricultural damage resulting from recent events, and to provide appropriate compensation for the affected farmers.

Hajj Hassan called on all farmers to register in the agricultural registry and in the electronic questionnaire platform to ensure the benefit from the various support programs provided by the ministry, stressing that the ministry will always remain alongside them in all the challenges they face.
