Prime Minister Naguib Mikati issued a note under No. 2/2025 to close public departments, public institutions and municipalities on the occasion of Mar Maroun.

The memorandum stated: According to Decree No. 15215 dated 27/9/2005 and its amendments, which determines the holidays and official occasions, and because of the coincidence of Mar Maroun’s day on a holiday in public administrations, all public departments, public institutions and municipalities are closed on Monday, which is located 10/2/2025 on the occasion Mar Maroun’s Day.
