Today, the Special Coordinator of the United Nations in Lebanon, Jenin Hennis-Blaskart, started a visit to Tehran, where she is scheduled to meet senior Iranian officials.

A statement of its office stated that this visit comes within the framework of the continuous consultations of the special coordinator with the relevant regional and international parties. Its talks will focus on the urgent need for the continuation of positive developments in Lebanon, which started since the end of the endowment of hostilities, in implementation on November 27, 2024, and the need to implement the Security Council Resolution 1701 (2006) completely.
